Thus, if you buy a $20,000 car but traded in a car for $9,000 you would only pay sales tax on $11,000 dollars. This can save you a good deal of money.

Another major benefit to buying from a car dealership is that you can get a warranty on the car. If you buy the car brand new you will get a manufacturer warranty. This is the best kind because the manufacturer will guarantee the car's function so that if anything were to happen (that wasn't caused by you) like a faulty tire, or piece of equipment, it would be replaced. You can only get this if you buy through a certified dealer.

Even if the car isn't new you can still get a dealership warranty. This usually gives you a certain amount of time, or a certain amount of miles you can put on the car that it will be guaranteed through the dealer. Obviously you can't get this when you purchase through a private seller.

3. Better Quality Products

Any car on a certified dealership will be repaired and cleaned so that it is in the best condition possible. If there is a problem they will generally fix it before they sell it. This means that you get a better car with better tire, interior and other features when you choose to purchase through Ford dealers in your area.
